These pictures were taken after I finished lifting the body off the frame and putting it on sawhorses. I plan on building an attached garage to keep the body and other parts while I work on the chassis. This process went real smooth since the previous owner had already removed the body and there were no rusted mounts to deal with.

After removing the body from the frame, I realized the rust proofing paint the previous owner had applied (corroless from The Eastwood CO.) was flaking off and starting to rust. I decided to go ahead and grind it all off to bare metal (not a fun job). I plan on preping it with POR-15 over a 'metal ready' base and then topcoated with 'Chassis Black' this weekend. After that, the suspension parts are going to be sandblasted and painted.

I sandblasted all the front and rear control arms and painted them with the POR-15 with a 'Chassis Black' topcoat.  I also rebuilt the differential, and refinished it.

I took the front and rear control arms to the machine shop and had them press in the new control arm bushings and ball joints I bought from Year One.  I also bought new Eaton Springs for the front and rear.

I finally got the front and rear suspension installed on the frame.   I can now start installing the brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, etc.  so I'll finally have a rolling chassis to work on.
